The Town of Rubona

The town of Rubona is located approximately 20 km south of Fort Portal, the capital of the Kabarole District.  The town has approximately 6,000 residents and the average age is 15.9 years.

Rubona Primary School

Rubona Primary School is mixed (boys and girls) school that was founded by Anglican missionaries in 1925 and was later taken over by the Government of Uganda.  It is located 20 km from Fort Portal along the Fort Portal-Kasese Road in the Kabarole District of western Uganda.  This school is a “center coordinating school” and serves five sub-counties in the area. It currently has an enrollment of 460 boys and 368 girls, a total of 828 students.  The school employs 21 teachers and 4 non-teaching staff.
